Seaglass Spay Neuter is not a full-care veterinary clinic! We are a high-quality, high volume spay/neuter surgery center. If your dog or cat is here for a spay or neuter, we will offer vaccines and a microchip during their surgical procedure. We do not offer any other services, and we highly recommend that you establish a relationship with a primary veterinary clinic for all of your animal’s healthcare needs.
How It Works
Best surgical patients are young to middle aged, in good health, and not overweight.
A typical surgery day includes dropping off the morning of the procedure from 7:30 to 8:30 and picking up in mid-afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30.
Canine patients will go home with pain medication and e-collars. Patients should be completely rested for 14 days after surgery.
Typically there will be no sutures to be removed.
~Dogs and cats only
~No brachycephalic breeds (dogs with shortened snouts: Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers, Shih Tzus, etc)
~No dogs over 75 pounds
~No in-heat spays on dogs
~Pre-anesthetic bloodwork (performed at regular veterinarian) must be performed on patients over 7 years old
~No pets that are deemed too aggressive to handle
~Feral cats must arrive in a cat trap – not cat carriers
~Rabies vaccine is required. If you don’t have proof of vaccinations, a rabies vaccine will be administered ($17)
